Our couriers are certified to UN3373 for the transport of dangerous goods (biological substances, category B). And because CROW is a cooperative, it's never just "someone" picking up: the person carrying your sample helps run the company.
What we carry for practices, labs and pharmacies
Most of these rides share the same shape: one shipment, one fixed recipient, one narrow time window. That is exactly what a direct ride by cargo bike is built for – the shipment stays with the same person from pickup to handover.

Transport between practice, laboratory and clinic. Our couriers are certified to UN3373 for biological substances of category B. Packaging is normally supplied by the customer, matched to their own requirements.

Paper reports, consent forms and documents that can't go by email. On request with documented delivery, where the handover is recorded in writing.
Certification, materials and cooling
Covered: our couriers are trained and certified for the transport of biological substances of category B under UN3373. They know what a correctly labelled shipment has to look like and how to secure it on the bike – we practise load securing in our own workshops.
Materials: packaging is usually supplied by the customer, because requirements differ by sample type. If you aren't sure what suits your shipment, we're happy to advise – just tell us what needs moving.
Cooling: we do handle temperature-controlled rides. The cooling material – cool box, gel packs, suitable packaging – is likewise supplied by the customer, matched to the shipment. Let us know when you book and we'll plan the round accordingly.
Why the bike wins here
Between Kreuzberg, Mitte and Charlottenburg, the cargo bike is simply the faster vehicle over short distances. It doesn't sit in traffic, it doesn't look for parking, and it stops right at the door – with a lab sample, that is precisely what decides the transit time. Our hub is on Markgrafenstraße in Kreuzberg, right in the core area, which keeps the approach to pickup short.
We carry up to 50 kg and four moving boxes per bike. For samples and medication that is more than generous.
Recurring rounds run on a cooperation agreement
We generally don't bill recurring lab and pharmacy rounds from the price list. Instead we agree a cooperation agreement at fixed terms, tailored to your volume, your locations and your time windows. For both sides that is more predictable than a per-kilometre rate that lands differently every month.
If you'd like to try the process first, we'll bill a test run or pilot from our regular price list, and afterwards we work out together what suits ongoing operation.
